FIDMarseille is an international film festival renowned for its bold editorial line, competitive sections, and commitment to showcasing world and international premieres.

Every year, the festival brings together filmmakers, producers, distributors, sales agents, and film professionals from around the world, while offering audiences a programme dedicated to contemporary cinema in all its forms. The festival celebrates fiction, documentary, experimental and hybrid works, with a particular focus on innovative cinematic writing and emerging artistic voices.

At the heart of the festival’s professional activities is FIDLab, the international co-production platform held onsite on July 9th and 10th, 2026, during the 37th edition of FIDMarseille (July 7-12). Each year, around a dozen carefully selected projects - spanning fiction, documentary, animation and series, and ranging from writing and development to post-production - are presented to an international network of producers, funding bodies, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents and other key industry professionals. Designed as both a project accelerator and a networking platform, FIDLab has established itself as an internationally recognised label supporting emerging talent, artistic diversity and international co-productions. The 2026 edition also featured a German Focus, inviting leading German production companies to foster new collaborations and strengthen international industry connections.

Why b.square?

For the 2026 edition, FIDLab meetings took place onsite on July 9th and 10th. Organizers relied on b.square as their back-office meeting management platform to efficiently coordinate tailor-made one-to-one meetings between selected filmmakers and international industry professionals.
