The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN), launched in 1997, remains the leading cultural festival of Bucheon, a UNESCO Creative City of Literature, celebrating boundary-pushing genre cinema in South Korea. 

Genre films and emerging talents showcased by BIFAN resonate worldwide, thanks to the festival’s industry program, B.I.G. (BIFAN Industry Gathering), which has grown from the foundation of the Network of Asian Fantastic Films (NAFF), launched in 2008 to support the production and development of genre films. Over the years, B.I.G. has evolved into a key platform representing the global genre film industry. Asian filmmakers have found visibility and support through the world’s first genre film project market, It Project, as well as through Fantastic Film School, the festival’s film education initiative. Through Made in Asia, B.I.G. has built a comprehensive network of industry leaders and curated data on the most popular Asian films, contributing to the discovery and promotion of new talent across the continent.

This year’s BIFAN industry meetings will take place from the 7^th to the 9^th of July 2025, featuring an enhanced hybrid program with a full slate of onsite events and complimentary online components. Participants will have access to P/I screenings, workshops, and one-on-one industry meetings, reinforcing B.I.G.’s role as a truly global and inclusive platform.

The directors and producers of projects selected by the NAFF Project Market will hold hybrid and onsite business meetings with domestic and international investors, producers, distributors, and various professionals from film organizations during the hybrid meeting days. The scheduling of these 30-minute meetings is managed through  b.square, a one-to-one meeting platform designed to offer a seamless and efficient user experience.

b.square not only simplifies the process for B.I.G. guests and project participants but also offers an effective management and monitoring system for organizers. Once registered, participants enter their availability, send and accept meeting requests in advance, and automatically receive a personalized agenda that includes all confirmed meetings. This agenda can be easily downloaded and shared, helping participants make the most of their time at the festival.
