Qumra 2025 offers unparalleled support for emerging filmmakers through mentorship, development, and meaningful industry exchange.

Organized by the Doha Film Institute, Qumra is a unique initiative dedicated to fostering the next generation of filmmaking talent from Qatar and around the world. Running onsite from April 4 to 9 and continuing online from April 11 to 13, Qumra 2025 will support directors and producers working on feature films, series, and short film projects across all stages - development, production, and post-production - in both fiction and documentary formats.

This year’s program will feature Master Classes led by internationally acclaimed filmmakers, alongside curated screenings of selected feature films supported by the Doha Film Institute. With a strong focus on first- and second-time filmmakers, Qumra provides a nurturing environment where creative voices are guided, challenged, and elevated by global industry experts.
