Docs Ireland is Ireland’s international documentary film festival and a leading hub for documentary filmmaking, fostering cross-border collaboration, international co-productions, financing, sales, and distribution.

Held annually in Belfast, the festival brings together filmmakers and industry professionals from across Ireland and around the world to celebrate and support non-fiction storytelling.

The festival’s flagship industry event, the Docs Ireland Marketplace, is the only marketplace dedicated exclusively to documentary on the island of Ireland. It offers selected filmmakers the opportunity to meet one-to-one with leading international decision makers, including funders, broadcasters, distributors, exhibitors, and sales agents, through carefully curated meetings designed to foster new collaborations and advance documentary projects. The 2026 Marketplace took place onsite in Belfast on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June.
