The Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) stands as the leading global event for professionals in the children’s publishing and multimedia industries.

For over 60 years, it has brought together publishers, authors, illustrators, literary agents, and licensing professionals from around the world to showcase the latest trends, innovations, and collaborations across the sector. The most recent edition, held from the 13th to the 16th of April, recorded more than 2,800 one-to-one meetings, confirming its role as a key international hub for rights exchange and professional networking.

Alongside BCBF, the event also features BolognaBookPlus (BBPlus), dedicated to general publishing, and the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/Kids), focused on licensing for children’s brands and properties. This unique convergence creates an unparalleled environment where publishing, licensing, illustration, and audiovisual industries intersect and grow together.

The programme includes a rich selection of exhibitions, workshops, and meetings, highlighting both international creativity and industry excellence.

Organized with the support of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, BCBF continues to strengthen its position as a must-attend event for the global publishing community.
