Qumra 2026 continues to offer unparalleled support for emerging filmmakers through mentorship, development, and meaningful industry exchange.

Organized by the Doha Film Institute, Qumra remains a unique initiative dedicated to fostering the next generation of filmmaking talent from Qatar and around the world. In 2026, the program was held entirely online across two distinct sessions, running from March 27 to April 1 and continuing from April 6 to 8.

Qumra 2026 supported directors and producers working on feature films, series, and short film projects across all stages - development, production, and post-production - in both fiction and documentary formats. The program brought together a rich agenda of mentorship sessions, conferences, and industry activities, creating a dynamic environment for creative and professional exchange.

With a strong focus on first- and second-time filmmakers, Qumra continues to provide a nurturing space where creative voices are guided, challenged, and elevated by internationally acclaimed industry experts.

Across the two online sessions, b.square supported the organization of over 700 activities - including mentorships, conferences, and industry events - and more than 1,200 one-to-one meetings.
