The Busan International Film Festival became the biggest film event in Asia. Every year it presents about 300 films to an audience of 200,000 spectators and 10,000 accredited people from all over the world.

The Festival has also consolidated its role as a motor of the film industry through programs such as the Asian Film Market, Asian Project Market, Asian Cinema Fund, and the Asian Film Academy.
