FIDMarseille is an International Film Festival with competitive sections, a policy of world and international premieres, and distinguished hosts.

Every year, FIDMarseille organizes FIDLab, a workspace dedicated to selected film projects in response to an international call for entries. Around a dozen projects - regardless of format, duration, or subject matter, including fiction, documentary, animation, or series - at various stages of writing, development, or post-production, are selected. The platform was created to foster dynamic exchanges between project creators and producers, funding bodies, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, and TV networks. FIDLab positions itself as both a talent incubator and a platform promoting diversity, and has gained recognition as a respected label worldwide.

The festival aims to be attentive to contemporary cinematic writing, whether fiction or documentary, short or feature-length films. It offers a unique program to a broad local, national, and international audience.

Why b.square?

For the 2025 edition, FIDLab meetings took place onsite on the 10th and 11th of July. Organizers used b.square as a backoffice tool to manage tailor-made meetings for participants. The platform supported the curation process, enabling organizers to efficiently schedule meetings based on participants’ profiles and preferences. This optimized the number of appointments and significantly reduced the organizational workload, helping foster meaningful national and international collaborations.
